I understand what you are saying! Its true H.D. is behind on the technology, But doesn't nostalgia and the fact its built in the USA say something anymore!

The Dealership is standing by there Leak down test! Why would a Bike with 40,000 miles have that type of problem?

2002 flstc carb problem?
If anyone has a better Idea than the shop, I would appreciate it! My Buddys Bike had some Carb problems ( Bike would stall at Idle) before we went on a long distance ride! He had some Sediment in his Tank and float from the long winter, He had that cleaned and a float adjustment Done, This seemed to cure the problem, We set out on a long Distance Ride and the First Mountain pass we got to 4000' elevation the Carb started dripping fuel out the airbox. We went to closest H.D. Dealer and we were told its a common occurance with Screaming eagle airbox mod ! This had never happened before! We had problems at high altitude all the way to Nevada. We got another Mechanic who took a look and thought it was Jetted to Rich so he change to a smaller jet in the primary(175) from (195) he was use to higher elevation than Seattle, This helped but didnt fix it completly. The H.D. shop in Lynnwood WA. thinks it has worn valves and Blow by! They are wanting to do a major rebuild! The bike has 41000 miles and gets oil changes every 3000 miles and is well taken care of!

Wa to Nevada
Heading to Las Vegas with 2 Bikes FLTSC, Leaving Saturday 24th 9:00AM. We may head to Zion in UTAH. 2500-3000 miles round trip depending on where we decide to go.

Kauai H.D.
Rented a bike in Kauai last Wednesday, Good Day for a ride! I saw the Garden Island HOG Chapter riding during the weekend, I rented a 2007 Road Glide,Its has a different feel then my FLSTC. It has the Rigid front fairing and Sits a little higher. I recommend the Kauai H.D. if your planning to go there

I was over in Union WA on 12/28 thru 12/30 that area has gotten 5" of snow last week and the drive on 106 along the canal was very slick, I was driving a car? I'm just going to stay around this area! I was warming up the Bike Yesterday Thinking about it, I received a call from a friend wanting me to head up to Granite Falls area but getting back was Going to be the tricky part!

Passenger running Boards Installation flstc
I just finished what should have been a easy task replacing the Stock Passenger pegs with H.D running Boards! As far as I'm concerned might as well throw out Directions and start from scratch! Make sure to purchase a #50 star extention for $14.00 at tool town first.

I was down there in later part of April and rode around AZ, The south rim of the canyon is open Weather is Good but can get very cold! North Rim opens May or so. The Laughlin Ride is end of April, Something to Consider!

I started out with a Yamaha 60 in 1971 then 1985 a V65 Magna Honda, Then tried a Royal Enfield ( Bad Choice).In 2001 Bought a 92 HD Lowrider, Now a 2007 Softtail Heritage.
